USA Moves onto the next World Cup round in Brazil  The fortuitous  break came 20 minutes before the end of the match, as  Portugal pulled ahead of Ghana 2-1 in a game being played simultaneously  in Brazil. Both Portugal and Ghana are out of the cup while the US moves on.

As they are out of the Group of Death and onto the second round, coach Jurgen Klinsmann has one focus, “You have to win the game.” Most of the 90 minute match was played defensively by the US team yesterday. Granted a 0-0 draw or 1-0 loss would have allowed them to move on, everything is on the line going forward into the knock out rounds next week.
